Now, THIS is the kind of thing Bob could flip out about and I'd agree.

To play Devil's Advocate: What's wrong with the ad if it's entirely true?

Personally, I think it's tacky, and doesn't play to Dole's strength - People in NC love her.

Then again, what do I know. Supposedly I'm just a mindless right-wing robot.

i think she is losing currently. im pretty sure her opponent has a multipoint lead over ms. dole. hence the ad. my issue is naturally with its tackiness, and not necessarily her party affiliation. that being said, the GOP has yet to scurge its ranks of Rove-ian politics.

Maybe we should fine them points for deliberately lying about an opponent, haha. That would be the day.

I hope this comment doesnt get led in the wrong direction, but say that it was true she was not a "person of faith". Im not sure just being a church-goer is a valid test of character. Growing up I saw just as many people from the church I attended do shady things to others as I did people that did not attend church.

Im not a person of faith, and I get very offended when people automatically think that means Im more likely to perform immoral or unethical acts. I think this is just another cheap ploy used by politicians and community leaders to turn this into an "us vs. them" campaign. I dont think that someone becomes an enemy or threat just because they hold a different set of views.

...except for the fact that I'm pretty smart, and far from a "right-winger".

wawazat, I agree - I don't like the insinuation that someone who chooses to eschew a particular faith is automatically of questionable character.

I have always been curious about god's supposed need for money. What exactly makes this alleged money "godless", it hasn't passed through a collection plate on sunday morning?

I find suspect any person who stands on an "us or them" platform.I don't belive in any god but I do not judge, look down on or push my thinking on people that do. I know plenty of hard core christians who treat me with the same respect so the idea that a person's religious beleifs demand that they cannot work with those of differing beleifs is rediculous.

It's like the fairy tale that Obama is a Muslim. One side screaming that he is, people defending him saying that he is not. I am not pleased that Powell endrsed him but he did share my sentiment when he asked "when did being a Muslim become a bad thing"? EXACTLY! Who cares what religion he is? Just because some Muslims take it too far and distort the mainstream religion I am supposed to assume they are all like that? Sorry, I actually think for myself. All those people so up in arms about what is actually not true in the first place might want to bone up on the history their chosen religions and see if they don't have their own bad apples in the bushel.

Some people. I know some people who won't be voting for her. I like her. I felt strongly enough about a NC issue with beach access that I wrote her, and she responded well and introduced legislation on the matter. (Basically the feds settled with this enviro group that beach driving on OBX would be prohibited to protect some stupid bird that no beach driver has ever run over -- if you are interested more about that lemme know).

Some people are disgusted b/c all we see are these stupid negative ads against her. And she responded by making her own negative ads against Hagan.

Some people prefer to vote for socialists, so they are voting for Hagan regardless. ZING!
