Hey Guys/Gals,

I need a 3.5L A/C for testing/development/measuring for a grounding kit.

Requirements:

3.5L A/CCar is in Southern CaliforniaNaturally Aspirated

Ideal:

You live or can travel to the Riverside, CA area. You have CVTStock engine bayAvailable this weekend

What will be done to your car:

-Part of your engine bay will be disassembled. Usually engine cover, battery cover, intake, winshield wiper resevoir.-Your glove box will be disassembled.-Your ECU boot will be cut (this is a weather stripping boot)

What you get in return:

The priviledge of owning one of the first, if not the first, A/C grounding kit (See possible benefits below)A DEEP discount on the kit (ergo the "Semi-Sponsorship")

Other Vehicles have the following benefits:

-Faster engine spooling-Smoother, faster, transmission shifting (We are all interested to see if the CVT can be improved)-Some additional power- This is usually minimal around 5hp.-Improved Fuel Economy-Cleaner, louder audio-Brighter headlights with less/no flickering

Reply with details about your car. There will be a max of 2 3.5L test vehicles. 1 CVT and 1 6mt.

You're in Texas!

I'll have an FI application in the future. Actually, once the N/A version is done, you can send me photos of your coupe and I'll be able to work something out for your. Price should be similar (could be more, could be less, all depends on materials).

Are you available Saturday? I have someone else from NICO that I'm supposed to meet with for the 2.5, but our schedules may not mesh.

I won't know about pricing until I get a hold of a coupe (actually both engines). I did an install on my dad's 05 2.5L sedan and that kit would probably cost around $60-$70.

You can check the link in my signature for pricing on the G35/350Z. I'm guessing the 3.5L Altima Coupe will probably be around the price of the basic kit. Who knows? lol

nismofool. I'm going to edit your number out of the thread for your privacy and call you.

The sedan and the coupe share the same engine bay. Can I do it too?

Lol, thank god. That would been a hell of a jack move. First I jacked the sponsorship from LBC... then this guy was gonna jack it from me.

Thanks, Blake. I think he meant jacking the opportunity, not the design.

B&W,

One of the grounding wires goes to through the ECU boot (which carries the ECU wires) to ground the ECU. I have to make a .5" incision in the rubber boot to get the grounding wire through there.

Jose3.5,

nismofool is supposed to be meeting me this Saturday to do the measuring and testing. If you are available too, I can do a comparison (coupe to sedan) and cut you a deal + a free install (I normally charge $25 for this).
