I was just wondering who is going to SEMA this year? I sure hope we have some people on this forum going. It's always nice to have a "spy" on the inside, and since I won't be able to go, we need someone to get some pics and post 'em for us! Are there any members in Las Vegas?

I live in Vegas and will be in contact with many of the SEMA show goers, though I don't know if that will help me get in. If anyone has a connection to someone who would let me borrow a pass I would be more than happy to wander for a few hours taking pictures.

aww man, i dont get to see the V, i saw it back in irvine when you they had the nissan test drive. and i saw it debut at SEMA last year. i already book my flight, my hotel is more or less setup, and the parties i am set to go to are line up.

NOw to get in and check out the cars, women and new product

i had asked this earlier but i didnt get an answer, but what if my uncle works for house of kolor, which makes paints for cars and such. could he get me into sema?

Well the way the show works, you have to be in the industry to be able to gain access. That being said, your uncle could PROBABLY get signed up and get a pass. Most of the people there will be vendors (meaning they're selling products) and the press (which is there to highlight the products and write articles about them). If it's anything like the Consumer Electronics Show, you can go if you own a shop that sells anything that'll be available there because you're the person that these vendors are trying to sell to. Tell your uncle to go to http://www.semashow.com/main/m...ePage and see if he can sign up. He can just say that you are his employee and get you access probably. The only problem is that it's getting late... the show starts in 12 days!

unfortunelly for him, it will not work. not this late. because i know they are require you to have a business card to pick up the pass. and his uncle would need to show that he has worked there. this is what someone else had to do in order to go.

I already had my previous SEMA experiences, so i get the yearly email to sign up. so i no longer have to go through my job if i wanna sign up. plus i know way more people in the industry who has a few extra pass for a day. but ya, i still got to sign up hahaha.

there a good chance i wont be posting until friday afternoon. :P if your lucky and i have some internet connection. possible wed nite, since i plan to fly out there tuesday nite, hit the show wed and thurs.

If you have a laptop with Wifi and some free time, you can go to the walgreens at the intersection of Las Vegas blvd and Convention Center blvd (where Stardust used to be - just south of the Riviera). There is a hotel called the "Royal Palms" and it gives 30 minutes of free Wifi that you can use each day. You can also go to the apple store at the fashion show mall. There is a set of benches right outside of the store that you can sit at, but it closes at 9pm. Just to name a few...

I'm going as a an employee of a friend who used to own a muffler shop years ago, but still gets an invite every year.

Even if you don't have a pass you can usually wander around outside the convention center where's there's a ton of stuff to see. Sometimes somebody leaving will throw their passes away. I've seen people pick them out of the trash can and use them.

Hi I'm new, but I was at SEMA and I didn't see a Versa there. We had our truck @ the DUB booth and I didn't actually check out a lot of the show (because I was only there friday to tear down) but I would have for sure noticed it since I'm looking to mod. Anyone who DID see one there POST PICS PLS!

There weren't a lot of Vs this year. The only one I distinctly remember seeing was in the Nissan booth and was stock aside from wheels and paint.

i didnt even see the one in the nissian booth, that why i didnt bother posting, there was none. it was total sadness. last year they have 5-6 at nissan, now there were none.

i was trying to get my versa to go to sema again this yr but nissan said no =( i was even going to do a makeover..however, sunday meet its almost time!!! =)

I'm hoping to bring my Versa to California during the Summer or Spring Break (UGA), so I wanted to check to see how many of you in Cali would be willing to bring out some Grills and Cerveza and show off our rides?
