Your Administrator, AZhitman, was there, and saw it all.
I arrived in Las Vegas at daybreak the morning of the 4th, armed with a box of NICO business cards, my NICO polo shirt, a backpack (for brochures and handouts), a notepad and a digital camera. For the next 9 hours, I walked, talked, snapped, oooh’ed and aaah’ed my way through the Convention Center. By midday, my backpack was weighed down with 50 lbs. of goodies, so I made a run back to the hotel to “offload” and start over (little did I know, this was to be the routine for all three days). The first day was a blur, and by the time the Center closed, I was exhausted. Severely blistered feet and an aching back precluded any “partying” in Sin City, and I was glad to hit the sack after a long day.
The next day was spent much the same way (albeit with a double-layer of socks and a new set of Dr. Scholl’s – yes, I’m gellin’), and I kept my NICO brothers and sisters in mind as I photographed anything Nissan / Infiniti within eyesight. The exhibits that some of these vendors had were incredible! Lights, cars, video, audio, models, robots, freebies – what more could you want?! That night, I hooked up with an old college roommate and enjoyed downtown Vegas – Truly an amazing city!
By the third day, I could no longer feel my feet, and was eager to come home, but not wanting to waste opportunities, I retraced my steps to make sure I didn’t miss anything. The “New Products Showcase” was an amazing feature! Made lots of great contacts with potential advertisers and members, and lost count of the number of people I met who came up and asked, “Are you with NICO?” We have a great reputation out there, and for that we should be proud.
All in all, it was quite a show, and I had a great time. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed getting them for you!
