I've been thinking and have come to the conclusion that I have more things that I want to do in life than drive a nice quick car. I am 19 and not in college. I had a full paid scolarship but it's gone now. I love my car but I really want to do something with my life. The only way that my parents would sent me to college is if I sold my car and bought something cheep just to get me around. Other than that there is really no way I will be able to afford college. I would really like you huys input on this bacause it's a really big decision and I really have nowhere's else to turn where someone could actually understand what I am going through at this moment. Any advice would be greatly apreciated,

If you had a full scholarship, I'm guessing you're pretty intelligent. Try applying for scholarships, grants, financial aid, whatever you can. Try going to county/community college. Its really cheap, and if you do well you can transfer where ever you want. Don't let the stigma and jokes about community college fool you, it'll get you where you need to go. This would be your best bet in keeping your car/going to school/being able to hold a job. Its how I do everything. Community college hasn't be bad at all for me. I was going to the state university and I hated it there (not for academic reasons)....community college saved me time, money, stress, and even a little bit of effort in classes. At my college they offer full scholarships if your family makes under 75k a year and you maintain a B average....

I understand 100% bro.We have a local car crew in my city, and I'm good friends with them (Silent Rage Racing). They are all like you. They live for their cars, and gave up on school for what they drive. They go to shows, and sometimes we hit the street, and it's pretty fun. Unfortunately, thats where it ends. That's all. It's nice, you drive it, end of story. Think of what more you can do once you go through 4 years of University. I chose to modify my car with the important things, and thats all. It's the nicest car I could hope to drive now, but I stand to make $90,000 a year right out of University (working in research and development in medicine). You have your whole life ahead or you, and as long as your love for cars and tuning lives, then its not even a problem. Do your education now, while the people there are still your age. It's much more fun.

I'm 18 years old, 1st year in University.Hope this helps :)

well my parents are there to back me but they just believe that there is no reason for me to drive a nice car and pay lots of money for it and have them pay for my college. They don't mind patying it but they don't think it's right that I can aford a nicw car while they are paying my college.

Oh by the wayt did I tell you guys that I wont be leaving the 240 world ? If I sell my car I am buying a s13 hatch for $3k.

I just want to be able to enjoy my life like everyone else who is my age and have something to look forward to.

STAY IN SCHOOL. Don't let your grades drop because you like your car....mine were slipping last semester, because of my car and a couple of other reasons....work on school...get good grades. A second job at Wendy's ain't S*IT to making even 40k a year (which is what I plan on getting if I become a teacher). I'm just dealing with the fact that my car is going to stay the way it is for a good while.
