http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...h=010 Just giving everyone a chance to check it out. For a long time , I couldn't get any photos on here (computer problems). But there are a few on ebay. My reserve is set at $6500.00. I'm taking a huge loss, but you always do. Even if you're not bidding, take a look and tell me what you think. thanks Jay

Huge loss? How much did you put into it? 6500 seems high for a vert with a stock motor

I don't know Loki....

I don't think that's too high a price for that car.You can get $4k easy for a nice clean rust free, leather interior, stock 'vert nowadays. Add a very expensive paint job, silvia conversion, brake upgrade, nice suspension work, door pillar removal, etc.. That's a lot of time and money for upgrades..

I think $6500 is a pretty reasonable asking price.

REINCARNATION: I was thinking about this a long time ago.. but never shared it with anyone. I would advise you to make sure you write up a contract and proper bill of sale for this car. Make sure you note that it's for off-road use only in your bill of sale, and state specifically that you (Seller) are not in any way responsible for any future damage or injuries, etc...

My concern is that if you make modifications to the factory safety systems (door pillar, seat belts, etc...) that might make you a target in a lawsuit or some in the future if the new owner get's hurt. They might try to blame you for reducing the safety features of the vehicle..

Just something to think about.. Hopefully it wouldn't be anything to worry about.. but in this day and age... you can't be too careful huh!

Ah...my bad. Only vert I have to go on really is mine, but I guess mine was quite the deal. I haven't done a paint job so I have no idea how much that costs.

I do agree on the legal write-up though. Covering your bases is always good.

Thanks for the advice, Eikon. Do you think this is something I should let the buyer know up front on my E-bay listing, or wait until the actual transaction takes place, and ask him/her to sign off on it? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Jay

You already mentioned seat belt relocation in the ebay auction right? I doubt that the buyer will care about it. So they most likely won't complain about having to sign any kind of special waiver. I would just tell them after they win the auction that as common practice, you have drawn up a bill of sale that is for the protection of both the buyer and the seller. Just my opinion on it.. I am by no means an attorney, so I might be way off on this.. But it just seems like it might be a good idea.

What do you guys think of the cars over all look? Some people have mixed feelings on it (the retro feel). But it's the vision I was going for with no plans to sell. If I new I was going to sell it, I would have chose a more common look. Please give your opinions. Good and bad are fine. thanks. Jay

The paint is a "Love it or don't" color, and for me it's a don't. I like the car and it has alot of things I want to do (silvia, seat belt relo, Z32 brakes, etc), but I'd never buy it due to the color ... sorry, just giving you my 2 cents.

Thank you , I did put way to much time and money into this car. My son is upset that its for sale. But I just got my first house & that's the new project. The pics don't do the car any justice. But it turns heads every where I go. The style seems to appeal to all ages. Thanks again

Good luck with selling your vert. I've restored several cars before and know what it is like to have sell your baby at a loss. Everyone thinks it is so easy and cheap and that your time isn't worth anything. If I made ten dollars an hour for all of the time i've invested over the years toying with car i'd be a millionare by now. If the car looks as good in person as the pics on ebay I think your reserve is not out of line. Go see what $6500 will buy today at a muscle car auction...

Thanx, Arabiangirl2006 I feel $6500 is a gift. And just seeing it on ebay makes me ill. I bought it in 05' for $4,300 then many $$$$$$$$$$'s later............I sell for next to nothing. But that's what happens. You live and learn. Jay

Your absolutely right, the cup holder is the best mod. A cold beverage by your side is essential. As for the plate ( I forgot ). I'll see if I can do that soon. Thanx & good to hear from you. Jay

Good luck with selling your vert! I hope it turns out to be a "win win" for both you and the buyer! Let's hope you get more than your reserve and the buyer recognizes the deal they got!!!!
