I'm tossing around the idea of selling my 93 silvia (240sx coupe). this is the most fun car i've ever driven, but now that it is done (i use the term loosely), i have the itch to start over. i think i'm going to do an s14 this time. anyway, here's a list of the mods, if i could recoup what i spent on it, i would be happy to sell it. my phone number is 720-936-5828. i'm in boulder, co and it would be my pleasure to take a potential buyer on a canyon run or two...
the prices next to the mods were what i spent on each...93 coupe with blown engine $1300redtop, transmission (clean low miles)$1400ss exhaust manifold (enjuku) $299hks gt2540r (new on e with 70mm inlet... big) $900hks ssqv bov and hks pipe (uses snap ring not welded on) $199custom fmic and piping (sits where a/c condenser used to be) approx 24x14x2.5 (hidden, very short/straight piping route, very cool) $400greddy intake manifold $399greddy oil pan $349ss turbo lines (2 oil, 1 coolant) approx $60greddy oil filter relocator $189custom oil cooler (25 row bigger than greddy's supra model)w/ ss lines $400greddy 02 extension $180projectnissan downpipe $99projectnissan testpipe (resonated cat replacement)$89hks gt spec exhaust 3.75" (sounds awesome) $540kyb gear climb struts (gear climb is a jdm model, but a fav. of drifters) $150rsr race springs $50 (both of these came from a friend in japan)greddy front strut bar $99no-name rear strut bar $15sealed 'yellow' optima battery $140 (in trunk)aeromotive fuel pres. reg. $155ss fuel line $20custom fuel rail (two inputs to make sure all 4 get same pressure) $50740cc injectors $595ecu with rom chip with switches for 4 dif. settings $4004 settings: 1. stock injectors, stock turbo, stock timing2. stock injectors, stock turbo, adv. timing3. 740cc inj., big turbo, stock timing (what i use)4. 740cc inj. big turbo, adv. timing (dangerous unless you have $$$)apexi s-afc $190wideband 02 sensor and monitor (real wideband for real tuning also has narrowband output so the ecu gets a real signal as well) $395greddy oil pressure gauge $150greddy h20 temp gauge $150cheap-o boost gauge works fine $30cheap-o egt gauge $0 (probe is good, but i think the gauge is bad maybe vice versa)cheap-o oil temp gauge not hooked up, but i installed a ss line with the bung to install it $0steering wheel off my friend's clip (1 inch smaller-feels great-very underated upgrade) $35steering wheel hub $30new inj. o-rings - free from my hook up at nissannew hydraulic lash adjusters - free from my hook up at nissanjdm s13 viscous lsd new fluids $200infiniti j30 outer axles $80a/c delete freenew belts freenew timing chain tensioner $60 what i had to buy from nissan to get the other stuff for freepassenger seat and rear seat are recovered in bride (black with grey stripes) cloth $400 (very good looking, just needs nice bride drivers seat)jdm s13 front end conversion $500 (hood has a little hump in it, that's why so cheap) projector lights/aero grillolder alpine cd player works greati removed the sound deadening material from beneath the carpet and from behind the dash (easily 65 lbs)metal intake manifold gasket and metalexhaust manifold gasket (way better than paper) $45header and downpipe wrap $75i hope that's everything...
here's the stuff that needs to be finished...i was just going to replace the gauges that didn't work with greddy gauges, so they all matched (approx 250) nismo makes a cool boost with digital egt built in that i've seen on ebay for 100.... and the oil temp is $150that could go on the steering column and the other three will sit in the center a/c vent (i made a plastic face for it)the front end is white, the rest of the car is maroon, a cf hood and paint job were my plans. (from free to infiniti)it's riding on stock wheels and tires are 85% rims are a must (go nuts)the dash is cracked from the sun, i was going to address this when i got the new gauges (don't pay more than 50 for a new dash)there's no shift boot, but they're on ebay for $19somehow i lost the receptor for the passenger seat belt, but probably only costs a few bux from the j. yard.it could use a brake job too, it still stops good, but i get a 80mph wobble ($100- $1000 for big brake upgrade)and a nice driver's seat...
as i said before, i love the car, but i kind of want to do it again, and that's just not going to happen if i don't sell this one...
the interior is in great condition, there's a hole in the driver's side carpet, and a stain or two everywhere else, but nothing a shampoo won't fix....this model has the normal spedomete, so you don't have to worry about the heads up display breaking... but the speedometer isn't working, or the reverse lights, but if you're not technically inclined, i'll fix these for you, i think i just reversed the wiring on the transmission.... if you're in the area i would be happy to teach you what i know about the car as well. i've only used mobil1, and only driven it 3000 miles or so, but done 3 oil changes.... considering it now takes 6.5-7 qts vs the original 3 qts. (because of the oil cooler, relocation kit, and oil pan) i've spent well over $100 just on oil.... but it's hard to not baby your baby....
so my total from the above stuff is $10,817. considering i paid shipping costs on all of this stuff, and it's all basically brand new, i would appreciate it if the low-ballers just low-balled at home, and didn't bother me.... that's not to say that i'm not willing to bargain, just don't waste my time and offer me your civic and $50... i would consider a s14 se and some $ or a jeep cherokee/grand cherokee and some $. my email is
[email protected] and my phone # is 720/936-5828 and my name is matt. thanks for reading such a long post... now get out there and sell my car for me....... and i'll post again if i remember anything else....PLEASE DON'T EMAIL ME THROUGH HIA... I'VE CHANGED MY EMAIL ADDRESS....
