I'm sorry to see you let it go man! You definitely made it into one of the best looking Y33's around.

How would you rate the ride with the Tein's on stock shocks?

thanks Falk...you helped

its more rough than stock of course, but not much worse...and nothing compared to the ride of a 240 or something lightweight

the bulk of these cars does well on the lowering springs IMO

and thanks for the fix elwesso

Seems like that car would be a Autotrader material type of car, right price and people that use Autotrader seem to be more into nicer cars.

I'm sure you will sell it, I have one already or I'd be interested

its been on ebay with a starting bid of $10k, no luck

its been in autotrader for about a month now with a price of $11,500, no luck

just doesnt seem like anyone wants it

maybe im asking too much??

the wheels are RUFF 236 IIRC, dont remember the name offhand...read about them on a G35 forum I think. good price, and good quality. RUFF makes some pretty good wheels for the money

In the open market, custom wheels and springs can hurt resale value. A general buyer looking for a dependable luxury car may ask, "Wont that make the ride really rough?""What if I hit a curb?"

I know that I personally shy away from cosmetically modified cars. When I was on ebay looking for a Miata, Seville, or Eldorado, I noticed that well-maintained 100% stock cars got the highest bids.

Putting the stock springs back and throwing some OEM wheels on might help.

Thats great. Those are the only wheels that we don't have up here in Canada or at least in Alberta. BTW how much did you pay for the wheels?

Actually, the people looking for nicer cars look at cars.com first it seems. We use both here at work.

I guess I'm old school as I used to use the Autotrader all the time.

I feel for you trying to sell a car that nobody wants to buy. Used cars are pretty tricky, for me the miles on your ride is what would put me off spending over 10k. I bet you put it at $9500 Firm and you sell it....that might be painful but I helped my friend sell his Honda Accord (traded for 05' Maxima) and he couldn't get KBB and his car was clean but it has 125k on it.

i was thinking of doing that, and now that you mention it...im going to

ive been debating on dropping the price, and im just gonna do it

if i cant get at least $9k for it, im just gonna end up trading it in (even tho i know i'll get ripped) so my wife can get a new car

What Jesda says is true about springs and shocks, that's why I would never sell my car to a "general" luxury car shopper, it's become a specialty car, and I would only sell to someone that will appreciate it as it is. Good luck with it, it will sell, eventually!

To be honest, You might be better off putting it back to stock for a sale. I think selling a Virgin car is an easier thing to do. It puts more guys in the running. Most people Im sure are not into modding cars. They are just looking for a nice car to drive.

Plus, there are those guys out there that plan to Mod the car but want to know it's done right by doing it themselves.

I sell cars. Sometimes somthing as little as an aftermarket CD player will hold up a sale. Any moddified car I get, I sit on for a very long time.

Me personally, there is no way in hell I would buy a moddifeied in and way, shape or form car. I only want a 100% stock car. If I want to mod it, I can.

Might be to much work but it's just a thought.

i wouldnt mind putting it back to stock, but i dont have stock wheels/tires anymore, and it'd probably be another $2-300 to put the stock springs back on

if it doesnt sell for $9500, then i'll consider it...but honestly, its just less headache to try and sell it as is

ive seen a few stock ones in the Autotrader in this area going for 10-13k, maybe someone will pick mine up

Get some stock wheels then sell the ones you have now. You might make some money in the process. Besides..those wheels might fit something else you might get.
