Well guys,

The day i've been dreading has finally come. I finally realized that I cant afford this right now. I need money for school expenses this fall and I have no money saved up. I'm gonna stay on the boards (maybe not as often) and hopefully get to start another project soon. So here is what is for sale.

THE MOTOR AND transmission~ Parts and Labor• JE Forged Pistons(stock bore)• Polished, forged and shotpeened rods• New bearings• Balanced, polished and knife- edged crank• Cryo-treated block• Head ported and polished• Upgraded Valve Springs• Skyline 65mm Throttle Body• Stock cams• Intake manifold ported• 65 degree thermostat• New oil pump• New water pump• Tomei 1.2mm metal head gasket• New Headbolts• CA18/SR20 Hybrid Transmission• SPEC Stage 3 Clutch• 300zx Oil Filter• Butterflies removed from Intake Manifold• Resurfaced flywheel• Wire Harness converted for LHD 240sx and stock ECU

The internals have less than 3000miles on them (none by me). The clutch is brand new and will need the typical 500mile break-in. This motor has easily over $2000 in parts and labor and will be a great engine for anyone looking to go big boost. Seeing as a new motorset/clip goes for $1800-$2200 nowadays, this motorset will be for sale for $2850 obo. (I feel this is fair for a fully built motor seeing as it still costs less than a stock SR).pics of the motor can be found @ http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/421221

Other CA18/240sx Parts I have for sale are:

720cc injectors- $200Z32 AFM w/ harness- $100IHI RHC6 Turbo- $500 GReddy 3in Downpipe (NEW in wrapper)- $130GReddy Dual Dragger 3in Cat-back(NEW)- $500 (retail is 600)APEXi Air Filter(NEW in box)- $80CUSCO Front Strut Bar(NEW, in wrapper)- $120Hybrid AUS Intercooler and Piping(NEW)- $500HKS SSQV(NEW in box)- $175Heavy Throttle Aluminum Hotpipe with HKS flange(NEW)- $115TIAL 38mm Wastegate(NEW)- $200Samco Coolant Hoses(NEW)- $100Tubular CA18DET Manifold w/ IHI flange- $250KA24DE exhaust mani- $15S13 KA24DE cams- $60Stock alternator-$15

Anyone interested can e-mail me @ [email protected]if you have any questions or offers. I will also be on AIM from time to time. My sn is Two4zeroSXTURBO Thanks for looking guys, I hope this stuff can go to fellow board members, but if not then it will end up on e-bay.

Thanks again,-Ian

Man, that's one hell of a setup.

-What color are the samco hoses?-Is the downpipe the stainless or the mild steel Greddy one?-Do you have any sort of aftermarket 02 housing?

There's more I want, but those two (3 if you have an 02 housing) are all I can probably swing cash for right now.

Ryan: e-mail sent

redamnavit: The samco hoses are red. They are silicone and were a ***** to get. It took almost 10 weeks and $150 to get them and I never even ran coolant through the damn things, lol. The GReddy downpipe is (i think) the mild steel one. It isnt shiny. It's the brownish-gray one.

Finally, I'll have a front STB instead of just a rear! Anybody want a CHEAP STB that WON'T clear the CA? Hehehehe

1)I'm definitely in for the hoses.

2)No 02 sensor housing (or whatever you call the piece from the turbo to the downpipe) then? 3)Is the downpipe an SR one or a CA one?

I do not plan on buying anything, so if you don't want to go to the trouble then that's fine.

What i would like to know is how much you paid for your pistons and also, do you have any pics of them?

:(:(:( NOOOOOO!!! :(:(:(

this sucks Ian... I'll ask around town at the meet to see if anyone's interested in some of the stuff for ya. Good luck with school! If this is what it takes to afford college, then so be it!:)

Doogz, he bought the motor in its current condition from someone else, so I dont think he knows how much the pistons cost...

Wish I had money, I'd call dibs on the intercooler, but I don't have the funds... =( What are the specs on the size?

Ok, sounds good for the hoses. No o2 sensor housing, sorry. The downpipe is an SR unit.

Sean was right, I bought the motor this way, but if youcheck the cardomain site I linked to, you will see pics of the block with the pistons installed.

Sean, I know it sucks bad, Especially since it was my first project car. But I plan to save up money and do something insane come spring '05 :D

IIRC, the core (w/ endtanks) is like 32 or 33" from end to end. It is 3" thick and i think 14 or 16" high. It's huge. The core should flow enough for 650hp. It also has only a .3 psi drop for every 15psi that goes through it. (Pretty damn efficient!)

Thanks guys-Ian

I know, Dee. It sucks major monkey balls but right now I have no way to pay for college expenses. My parents were gonna help with cost of books, etc, but we arent on very good terms anymore. I plan to build another CA in the future though, dont worry! I just cant decide what my next project car will be. Either an MR2, RX7 or another 240sx. What do you guys think?

MR2! It seems like with all the interest in FR/drift cars these last couple years the world's forgotten all about the joys of mid-engine cars these days.

$20 and it's all yours (or his I guess). Needs a little paint, and it's not new by any means, but it will do the job.

Dareo- Thanks for your interest. Shoot me and e-mail and we'll talk. [email protected]

I'd like to be able to get rid of all this stuff before I leave for school around August 20th (give or take a few days). So e-mail me guys! All items must go!

tim and ryan- I know what u mean, I really dont want to sell it and I would sell if i had gotten it running already, but I'd have to tow it to michigan where it would sit while I was at school, or worse, it would stay at home in PA where I'd NEVER see it. I plan to come through in a big way this spring with a new project and I'll be staying around the CA boards cuz I love this lil family (sniff sniff, lol)
