yeah basically and If I returned them to stillen they're going to charge me for THEIR original shipping charge to me of like 30 bucks and then restocking fees and then I'd have to pay for shipping to them. Ridiculous. I've been happy with Stillen so far but I won't do business again with them if its like this.

Yea, can't really blame them. It cost quite a bit to ship it out and it's a big box, they gotta charge something for putting it away.

I understand your frustration but if you return the springs and dont pay the shipping then we lose money because you changed your mind. I hope that does not come off as aggressive or rude, just trying to point out that if we didn't ask you to cover the original shipping cost then we would lose money every time someone changed their mind...That isn't really fair to us.

The re-stock fee is completely out of our hands. Eibach charges us a re-stock fee and we have to pass that on because again...We would lose money because someone changed their mind.

If we pay the shipping to you ($30.00) and the shipping back (another $30.00) and the re-stock fee (around 40-50 bux) we end up LOSING/PAYING out $100.00 just to return product...

I am sorry that things did not work out with your shop and I hope you do not take my post as rude/argumentative/aggressive. I am just trying to point out what we are up against when people want to return parts.

I should add that if there were anything wrong with the springs, they didn't fit right, something was wrong...whatever it might be, then of course we would cover everything.

But, we can't be responsible because you don't want them anymore.

I don't know what is happening with your shop (someone mentioned problems with your shop.) but I would recommend finding a different shop if they're charging you too much to install them.

itsjustbusiness - i'm not sure why you're wanting to return your springs, but that has nothing to do with stillen. they already covered the freight to get the product to you, and the product was far below manufac. msrp.i work in dist. and have the same problems with customers not wanting to pay fee's (freight, restocking) when returning goods. there's a bit more to it than you might think. when you put an order in for a product to be shipped it doesn't magically get on the ups truck and arive at your door. most people understand the shipping charges but think restocking fee's are totally out of the question and are just another way for companies to make money. this is not the case.when you place your order it takes man power to get the order processed and out the door (on the freight carrier). when bringing back a product it takes even more time and man power as product has to be inspected and researched (purchaser, purchase date, purchase price, crediting, etc.) before being placed back in stock.hope this helps you out, and you could always throw them up on ebay for the price you purchased them for and hope someone picks um up. good luck.

Just like what everyone is posting here, this is your problem and not Stillen's. Everyone charges a restocking fee and the cost of shipping it back falls on you, which is only fair since Stillen paid the freight costs shipping it out to you. how can you say you wouldn't do business with them again because of this. That's Ridiculous...after ALL of the great GB that Stillen has given to this forum.

BTW,..I find it ironic that your call name is "itsjustbusiness" and you're complaining about common business practices. After all, it is.....just business ...right?!?!?!!?

Man you guys are getting raped over there!!!

$120 - $150 installed from quality custom car shops...

you guys are taking these to custom car shops right? Not to firestone or pep boys.... not insulting anyone, but custom shops have the euipment and expertise to do these with their eyes closed!

edit

*** LBC's price is much more reasonable***

Feelgood... remember at the show you asked me if there was a "hustle" behind the "coupe parking only" sign?

Its like from the movie "be cool" WE're ALL WIZEGUYS!

In the NY area, the shops are mildly nuts as far as pricing is concerned...

Try the NY hustle on a nissan tech... talk to the guy who did your oil change, give him a $20.. and ask whats good!
