HI there

newbie here and asking on behalf of someone who has not got access to a pc (other than through me) so please forgive me in untechnical car terms (yep i am a women lol)

situation is that my brother in law is wanting to sell his datsun pickup 720 king cab. only done 28k since new and in what I would personnaly call in good sontdition for its age, showing some signs though as rot in places and a hole to where the wheel arch is on the floor of the pick up. the back look practically unused and the interoir is in immucualte condition. he is letting go with it 2 x front valances 2 x wings right and left . 1 hand book (manual) in a very good condition and also a sales leaflet .

what would be the asking price please we are in the uk and is there any where anyone would recommend in selling this ?

thanks

a few pics would help... that would get us an idea of exactly what condition its in

but these trucks don't typically go for too much. $300 for crap all the way up to $1200 for excellent condition. possibly up to $2000 for MINT condition

Crappy = 200 Pound Sterling, Excellent = 1500 Pound Sterling, Good = 200 to 1200 or 1500, Mint any where above 1500. Just for info, find out what year is the truck and what motor it has. I would think in the UK it has the Z22.

Wow, that's a crazy unbalanced engine bay on a righthand drive truck! Looks clean, the painted valve cover looks pretty sharp to me.

They were assembled in the UK to the specifications of the ministry.

All I mean is the two-tone looks good with the lettering. I guess I'm just used to my Z22 valve cover  (or painted covers on other cars that flake and chip and look generally awful after some time)

Can't say until we see pics. Could be anywhere from 200 to 2000. Excellent to drive helps to keep the price up, but we need to see it.

Yeah, if I was selling that truck here in Oregon, I'd probably give it an initial value if $2000 or $2500 then let it get bartered down if no biters at that price. Here there are plenty of 720s, quite a few of them in pretty ratty and around or less than $1000, and nicer ones around $2000, and every once in a while you see somebody trying to sell one for $3000 or $3500, but who knows how successful they are. I think the non-rusted out body (as far as I can tell), pretty good condition paint, very low mileage, and rarity of the truck in your location are all added value.

However, I have no idea how to factor in the market , I live out in BFE, but grew up in a richer metro environment, and cars cost about 2/3 here on average than they did in the big city, for an example of geographic price flux. Basically, I feel I can tell you what the truck is worth where I live, but I really have no idea where you live.

According to google, currently 1.00 USD = .67 pounds = .78 euros
