i had sold my 180 back in october, and was able to buy it back this month. after getting it back i had to put some tlc into the car since the previous owner took it for a couple rips and parked it. first problem - car had a nassssty exhaust leak, to my dismay the turbo was hanging onto the manifold by one loose nut. i had to rip the whole turbo and manifold out to get it attached properly. once the turbo was off, i checked the shaft play. this is where it gets fun, the turbo is seized. so doing what most people would do i changed out the turbo. luckily i had got an extra t25 at the time when i bought the car. now this second turbo had significant amounts of shaft play compared to the previous turbo. but i had no choice but to go with it. now i replaced the oil feed line with earls ss braided lines and fittings. as well as what i believe is the coolant feed..??? hole in the block that the turbo lines attach too. now the other coolant line, that runs to the back of the engine near the firewall to the intake side, which is assuming the coolant return line, had broke when i originally swapped the manifold (kept oem turbo) originally back in august. since the line was metal tubing i figured i could just replace with some vaccum line loomed in ss braiding. now i slid the vaccuum line on both ends, so one end on the fitting coming off the turbo and slid one end on the existing metal tubing going to intake side. and it seemed to work great. so back to my problem, today i have no boost. im assuming now is my second seized turbo. anybody know whats goin on???? i checked both the oil and coolant for my engine, oil looks really clean and topped up, coolant is green as hell and topped up.... no leaking on my drieway..... and it doesnt seem like there is any loose vaccum lines... my car just wont boost at all...please help

So have you tried checking to see if the 2nd installed turbo is seized or is that what you are thinking? You might have a faulty wastegate.

Well since yours isn't making boost then its not really a problem for you. Its when they stick or make excess boost that will start to mess stuff up. Can you move the wastegate arm easily by hand?

i havent gotten a chance to try its been minus 30 outside and with windchill almost -40.tomorrow should be nicer but i will investigate further on the actuator armi have a spare turbo i could exchange the actuator off of, im hoping this is a simple solution to my problem as that would make my life a whole lot easier as i do not want to do a 3rd turbo swap for a stock one....but i own an sr so it possibly couldnt be that simple.
