1991 Nissan 300ZX Automatic Non-Turbo.My engine is seized and I need some help. A while ago my transmission went out so i did that myself. After it was installed i could notice a difference in acceleration, i would have to gas it to get it going. This Friday I found a wire coming off of the spark plug cap connected to the middle of the engine (there are six of these)that wasn't plugged in so i plugged it in. after that my acceleration was awesome. I was running the car pretty hard on the highway after i accelerated i heard a knock that progressively got worse. I pulled over, turned the engine off and then it smoked a little. I have been having a slow leak of oil so i put some quarts in. I started the engine the knock went away for a half of a second and then came back. I drove it to the nearest parking lot and left it over night. In the morning i decided to try to get it home. drove like 5miles with it knocking, driving less than 30MPH. Then the just engine stopped, i don't remember hearing any bad noises, like something breaking. Tried turning starting the car and it would make a small noise and then nothing. The people I have been talking to say i seized the engine. Now it is home, I turned the crankshaft it would turn a quarter of a turn and then get stuck. Tried starting the car and it would make more noise like it was trying to start and then stop. Thinking that I didn't seat the torque converter right, i started taking off the bolts to the flywheel. Another odd thing while i was doing that alot of liquid started comint out, looks like from the middle of the flywheel. As i was doing that the crankshaft became easier to turn. I tried starting the car again sounded like it wanted to start but then wouldn't.
Any help would be nice.I am going to try to take the transmission down and re seat the torque converter... If I don't have the transmission connected can i try to start the engine?
