Pretty sure this is the same one that was on EBay a while back a few times in sucession. Its great that someone shoehorned the vg30dett in, but at that price, you have to think that things got serious problems.

Jesda pointed this car out to me.

I'm going to go up and take a look at it this weekend, with intentions to purchase. If it drives okay, I'm going to have a dealer look at it.

You know.....if I did get this, Wes wouldn't have the fastest Infiniti on NICO anymore. Muhahaha.

Can you break 13s with that thing? youd really have to crank up the BEWST to defeat the VH45 + spray

It actually doesnt look that bad.

The piping looks kinda janky, but the engine looks to be sitting alright.

It doesn't take much to get a VG30DETT up to about 400-450hp. I'm not sure how the VG responds to NAWS.

I'd imagine that with about 400 crank hp, it could lay down times meaningfully faster than a stock Z32TT would, dunno where that places it against your monster Q (which is presently my wallpaper, I might add).

What's your fastest 1/4 in the G50?

EDIT: Looks like my red S14 is getting sold tomorrow, providing me with the capital to make buying this crazy thing a real possibility. I think I'm going to offer the guy $2k in cash and see what he says (assuming I drive the car and it isn't a rolling disaster).

I figure that for $2k, worse comes to worse, I could at least get out of it what I paid for it.

Can anyone else think of things that maybe I should look out for when driving it/looking at it?

In his list of "issues" one is an untraceable belt squeal upon start up. Dollars to doughnuts it's the idler pulley.

What most worries me is that he mentions the car might need strut replacement, which, if I buy it, I won't really be in the position to do.

Any word on the J30's ability to accept 96-99 Maxima gear in the front and either S13 or S14 gear in the rear? I read that in a post on here somewhere...older thread.

Are you talking about the diff??? Stock it has a 3.96 or something close to 4:1, LSD...

Struts cost $500 from Joe, which i dont think is too bad. 2x as much as the Q though... You could drive a while on bad shocks without hurting anything, it may just want to bounce around.. put a few friends in the back have them bounce about and the locals in your area ghetto will think you got hydraulics on that thing..

I think you really want to get the car on a lift so you can take a look at it and look for places of ghetto rigging.. If you can, take a thousand pictures and then let us see them.. I think this is going to be just like buying any used car... one thign I would do is have someone else start the car for the first time while your standing under the hood... That way you could pick up on weirdness right then...
