The exhaust tips are black and sooty looking, clean them off and they are black again in short time. I dont know if this is normal on the N/A?

I cannot check fuel mileage because the spedo sensor is intermittent.

I ran the exhaust gas sensor check and the codes are flashing rich and lean, I assume this is checking the O2 sensors.. I did the TPS check and thats ok, the engine temperature comes up to normal, is there another temperature sensor for the computer to set the A/F ratio?

There are no fault codes showning other than the spedo sensor.

Any help would be great!

The collant temp sender and sensor are 2 different items, the sender goes strictly to the gauge and the ECU uses the sensor, the sensor is the 2-pin and the sender is the 1-pin on the coolant pipe in front. Having said that, when the coolant temp sensor goes bad it usually throws a code.

I checked the sensor with the 2-pin connector and cleaned up the contacts, cold (20C 70F)it reads between 2.5-2.6K ohm
Are the exhaust tips any clue to being rich?

What are you using to check codes?

How is the connector on the 2 pin sensor? Doesn't always throw a CEL, but may throw a code without CEL.

I was using the diagnostics in the computer with the ECL.

I cleaned up the connector and it looked good. There are no fault codes showing other than the spedo as I mentioned in my post..

Possibly your speed sensor causing the issue, or your ODO is just dirty.

I'd check the injector impedance and do a vac leak test. Particularly, check the vac line on the fuel pressure regulator.
