Between 40-50 mph, depending on how fast I'm accelerating, I can feel the car kinda shake. It's the car itself. The steering wheel is as solid as can be. If I let go of the gas and steady cruise between that 40-50 mph range, the shake is completely gone. Google searches seem to point to bad CV axle. But at 43k miles? What do you guys think? I got the extended warranty when I bought the car so it looks like I'm gonna be using it. This is getting slightly irritating.

Could be the axles....Might be a rear tire problem as well.

re-balance your wheels first to see if that's a quick fix, if not, then maybe a bad tire, or hopefully not, an axle.

Well if it were tires, I would think it would vibrate more and more the faster I go and do it wether I'm pushing the gas or not. Not just between 40-50 mph and only when I'm accelerating. I guess I could rotate the tires and see what happens though.

Not necessarily. I've had tires that were smooth up to 60 and would rock the steering wheel at 60-75 then smooth back out. I've had rear tires act similar to your complaints in which they had a twisted belt causing the problem. In another instance it was because I didn't have hub-centric rims on the car.

no, wheels can shake at different speeds. i've experienced shake at one speed and total smoothness beyond that speed, and it was wheel balancing that was needed.

if u know, don't ask us, sheesh!

Well I rotated the tires and the effect has lessened to barely being noticed but there's still nothing in the steering wheel like I would think if it were tires . I'm just gonna say my tires aren't so great.

I have the same thing happening on my 08 HB. I had the dealer check it out and after a few hours of testing, including trying different tires on it (These made it much worse as I was in the car with the tech at the time), checking the transmission, CV joints etc., we came to the conclusion it was the tires. Mine came with Continental tires and I lost one at 615 kms so I bought 2 Nexxen tires (Same speed rating) I always rotate them as pairs. I think the Conti's are the problem. As soon as I wear the tires out I'm going to buy four Michelin's for it. Should get rid of the damn vibration/tire slap.

Tire vibration is a frequency issue, so it's common for vibration to only present within a narrow range of speed (5-10mph). I would start by getting the tires road force balanced. You can even try one axle at a time if you want...if you think it's the rears, just do the rears and see if that fixes it.
