Hello. I'm new to the forum. I have a 1996 Pathfinder SE and am wondering if anyone knows a good, independent garage that does Nissans in Maine, preferably within about 50 miles of Ellsworth, Maine, which is near Acadia National Park, about 270 miles down east from Boston. (I spend most of my time in California, but travel to Maine a few times each year. I keep the Pathfinder in Maine.) Other question: any preference on snow tires for this beast?

I have firestone winterforces on my other suv thats a daily driver / beater, and they work excellent, we got like 8 inches of snow here in PA couple days ago and was offroading with them and they rip.

and on the pathfinder i have Pirelli Snow and Ice tires, they are extremely good too

so in all i reccomend the firestone winterforces or Pirelli;s. Also people say bridgestone blizzaks are good, but i prefer the pirellis over them.

heres how the pirellis look on my pathfinder

hope that helps you.

EDIT: also forgot to mention, if you drive the car in other than the winter months, id consider investing in a another set of rims and have a winter/summer pair which is what im going to do, because the soft tread on these tires will wear alot faster than your normal all season.
