After stopping into a local resturant a few friends of mine left onto a major throughfare, I went first , traffic was moderatley heavy so I proceeded to merge onto the right lane. I put the pedel to the floor and get the power that I have come to love from owning a maxima, but after i shifted her from 3rd to 4th, she went to 5500rpm to 6500-7000rpm and stuck there. Pulled over to the side of the road, put her in neutral and turned it off; though it was just a stuck pedel, released the pedel and drove her home slowly. On closer inspection my throttle cable was much looser than it should be, had it retighted but noticed that it has slowly loosed it self after long trips. Is this a major issue that needs to have the whole throttle cable replaced or is it is a minor occurance? If anyone knows if this has happened to anyone else or any new info on it please tell, its a pain in the *** to keep an eye and no one else seems to know

Yes i checked the springs condition and had no wear or sign of damage from the stickage. If its a minor thing then i'll probly just keep an eye on it

Check the cables as well and make sure there is no kinks or any type of Debris in the way of them or the Pedal lever.
