This morning when I was leaving the house, my home phone kept calling my car and when I would push the button to answer it, it wouldn't answer. It would finally quit after 3 or 4 rings....wait 20-30 seconds then ring it again. I finally had to turn off my cell phone and it quit. When I turned it back on, it didn't do it again.

My land line and my cell are both AT&T. Do you think I had an AT&T issue or a car issue?

I hate technical problems... Do you have call forwarding or anything set up?

I hate service providers as well.

I love Infinitis... so I'm going to bet on AT&T

No....I don't have C/F.

It was really aggrivating because I was trying to listen to the radio and it kept cutting in and out.

I'm so low-tech.

If it does it again, I will take it to my little techy fella @ Infiniti of Memphis. He is a hottie.

Becki

Have someone call your home land line while you are in your vehicle with your cell phone parked at your home.

If the call forwards to your cell go inside pick up the land line and dial 73#.

Repeat the test call and let me know. 73# is cancel call forward. If your land line was indeed forwarded you will hear confirmation tone after dialing 73# which is three short beeps and then steady dial tone.

What does that mean, TBW?

When I got home last night, I had my hubby call my house phone and my cell and everything seemed to be working right. I don't know what the deal was. Maybe my car is miffed at me 'cause I put those antlers and reindeer nose in him.

I think I know what the issue was.

Sometimes (if your phone has call waiting), when you switch over to the other line, the first line does not hang up. then you hang up the second line (and your phone all together), your phone thinks that you still have the other call on hold, thus it will ring to you, indicating that you need to end that conversation.

this is a common occurance with cell phones nowadays. this happened to me on more than one occassion when I'm listening to voicemail, and then someone call me on the other line.

the trick is to hit END first, then click over.

I have noticed that my phone and car have a strange relationship. I have my iPhone(AT&T) hooked in Bluetooth so all my calls go through the car. I noticed with the iphone you can play VM and recording and it comes through the speakers like a call does. All that is great.

The bad thing is when I go to text message someone it also cuts out the radio and shows a call in progress while I am typing a text. Strange.

The bluetooth system in our cars is quite simple and straightforward from a programming and computer standpoint. Most glitches are actually our phones being silly. Some phones have auto block and drop features not mentioned in manuals. My phone connects just fine to bluetooth, but my mothers phone wants to constantly disconnect. Dads phone connects no problem. Becki, it was probably just an infrequent glitch. It'll happen, especially with "smartphones" since they have multiple things going on at once. Oh, and my G didn't suddenly get bluetooth, I meant to make a post about it, but 2 weeks ago my parents stopped by the dealer looking at new vehicles, as Dad was growing tired of the Pathfinder (even though mom loved(s) it) and just wanted something a bit more luxy and fun to drive. So he got an EX35. I've driven it a lot, and its quite wonderful. I like it way more than I thought I would. I know what yall are thinkin. Post pics, full review, etc. I'll get that done this weekend so you guys can enjoy some of my writing...

Don't text and drive!

When will a car or phone manufacturer introduce a "voice-to-text" feature that would work with your voice and Bluetooth?

I have it on my Blackberry - the App is called Vlingo. Works great!
