Does anyone know where the fuel filter is on the 07 3.5 sedan?

um, the manual should tell you but it should be the same as the coupe then if you look from the top down towards the left very close to the side you will see it. To access, you'd turn the wheel away, remove the weather guard and reach in to remove/replace it

i don't know why you would need the fuel filter. i think you where talking about the oil filter if you where then johnny_d is right! the fuel filter is in your gas tank and it prevents from rust and other thing that are on that nozzle that you fill up with.

I have always changed my fuel filter on all my cars about every 10K. Usualy mounted on the fire wall but I cant find it on this car. I asked checker and auto zone for the part and they said "not serviceable" which I thought was strange. ???????

So is it possible that there is not an inline fuel filter. Or just part of the fuel pump? errrrrr I guess I need to buy the Nissan service manuel.

Ok so I also found the oil filter.

You won't find one. The fuel filter is a maintenance free-item which means its an in-tank type.

No need to buy the FSM, it's available here, on-line for free. The fuel system is detailed here:http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Altima/2008/fl.pdf(download all the sections and they are neatly linked together, too about 3 minutes to locate this info, VERY handy)

It appears most Japanese cars are moving to the in-tank fuel filter which is called "lifetime". I'm skeptical, but the one in my Accord seemingly lasted 238,000 miles. I miss the old, firewall mounted filters and used to replace mine annually. But my hands no longer smell like gasoline. Heck, even my '04 Chevy truck no longer has a replaceable fuel filter.
