Securtiy light in 03 Maxima always blinks

Even when I don't set the alarm. Is that normal. It's almost like it's built in to do that just in case your forget to lock the door. Is that standard? The owners manual mentions nothing about it

The red light would blink in my I30 too. I think it's a theft deterent feature.
