My car (s13 hatch) was broken into a couple nights ago, i know it is no hard task to get a coat hanger and open our doors, BUT there must be something we can do to prevent thieves from getting into our cars besides a cheesee alarm. any1 know of such a device?

No, you live in Dallas, so **** like that is gonna happen. The only solution is to get a personal body guard for your car.

maybe put in a kill switch , plus a alarm. I just got a viper alarm with one of those LCD pagers that notify you by a realtime page if someone has touched\hurt\broken into your car.

i Know dallas is going downhill. And the viper alarm costs an arm and a leg. what i was thinking about was something like a new door opener for the inside, one that cant be pulled by a coat hanger. Maybe reverse the door handle so you have to push it to open the door and pull to lock. Any of this make sense?

well if you do that then they just have to do it opposite, like stand on the other side of the door (front, back) to unlock it.

yes, but nobody would be able to put a coathanger in from the front of the car. therefore the door cant be opened from the outside. unless offcourse the window is broken, but that would be over most people's deductive so everythiung would be payed for...

Also say goodbye to your driveway and garage, maybe half your house depending on how close you park the car. Do this in an empty parking lot or a Honda dealership.

LOL. good call. the revenge satisfaction level might be worth the mass destruction.

If a car thief wants you car bad enough, he'll take it. Doesn't matter what you do. Fortunately S-13's are not that popular among pro thiefs. Mainly because they're not valuable enough. Kids are probably the only ones that might try to break in your car, and they're less likely to invest the effort if you do something basic and visible for security. Some of the ideas mentioned are good. The club or one of its varients. The C-4 may be just a tad too much, but a fuel cutoff switch is a good idea. Viper is good too. Lojack is an excellent deterrent, if its available in your area, but I'm not sure an S-13 is worth the cost of getting one ($6-800). I have an S-13 and use just a club.My car was broken into once, and all that was taken were some cassette tapes. I had also replaced my stereo with a removeable face Sony. With 188,000 miles on my car, the '02 Accord parked next to me will more likely get stolen long before my S-13 will. good luck.

ummm, you could always just pull the fuel pump fuse down by the pedels, the car aint gonna go with no fuel....or you can do what i'm doing and shaving the door handles inside and out, a button on my pager alarm to open it from outside, a button on my consol to open it from the inside.....problem solved either way......
