I'd like some suggestions for some of the best security systems out there.

Viper, Clifford, Audiovox... I have an Alpine (Alpine no longer makes alarms, but are very good). Those are good brands. The proper alarm depends on the application tho.

I used to own 2 audio/alarm shops in Chicago. Code Alarm and Clifford are probably your two best bets. Personally I only use Code Alarm.

I like the Clifford G5 models the best. http://www.clifford.comAll except the Arrow5 have 2 or more normally open kills, multiple sensors (some digital), laptop programming, and much, much more including SAFE remote start on manual transmission cars!

I would look at Directed's tracker before Lojack. Internet, real time tracking $799 installed and $100/yr monitoring.

Are you talking about Directed Security? Cuz if so...they have more than one brand...Viper...Python...etc...can you elaborate on which one you're talking about please?

Except for the G5 line of Clifford product, their stuff is basically all the exact same thing. Clifford Matrix, Viper, Python tracking systems are the exact same thing with a different name on it.

My shop's had really good success with the Marksman alarms. The M11a is one of their high end models with remote start, 2-way remote, etc that we've sold many of and NO comebacks. I've used Code Alarm for years as well but I don't like their current line as much as the old stuff. I liked their equipment more before they were bought out by Audiovox.

LoJack is decent but like EW said, there are other real time units out that give you some control over the system. Omega R&D has a nice one, Directed's is nice, Crimestopper has one, and several other companies offer them.

Directed has decent products but I've never been a big fan of their customer service so we've never sold much of them. They are like the Microsoft of the mobile electronics industry. They've bought up so many brands they are huge.
