security systems for the J?

Im looking to step up the security on my J30 (and would love to have remote start) because the winter is coming. but i am concerned about the factory system that is on it, does it blend well with new ones, is it removable.... Now i haven't gone to any stores yet and I know i will but was hopeing to get some pointers on which ones i should go for, which ones work best with the J sence this baby seems to be picky about what goes on it. Also would like to know the DONT BUY or any problems that some might have had if any. Im looking at a Viper system thats what my Father has on his Mitsu 3000GT spider and he loves it. I just put some new stuff in the J and would just cry to see her violated again (someone stole her emblem off the trunk)

I would also be curious if anyone has any suggestions for a security upgrade with remote start. I've been looking at some options as I'd like to get the remote start before the winter (I don't have a garage unfortunately). None of the local shops I've talked with seem to know much about how they are installed in the J30 with the factory system. They say they can, but don't really seem to know much else. I've also noticed a few systems on ebay that advertise they can be installed on the J30, anyone have any experince with those?

Yea it blends good with new ones, give that they are installed properly. Dont try to skimp on money. You will get what you pay for.

so it does blend with new ones that is great. I too am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for do you have any recommendations on which direction i should look in to.

I would look into unit like Viper and the most known brands. You should be able to get a quality remote start and alarm etc for about 300 installed.

thankyou ill udate once i go to the stores and see whats out there so far its looking like 499 with basic install there saying any aux hook up might cost extra BAH! i hate that but we shall see hey Dominick off topic how much is your XXX pushing that thing is mean man im shure your not the favorite among your neighbors ha ha
