Security System Wont Work...

There's some great info here and I'm hoping someone could help me out. I have a 1994 J30t and it has 108k ( runs great ) picked up at an auction for ( $600 ).

The alarm sticker is present and the security light blinks when I get in/out of car. I washed it soon after I got it and to my surprise the alarm went off.

Don't know what I did to turn it off but I did. I have "NO" remote and am wondering if there is a way to get it to work with just the "KEY" or, do I need the key FOB?

Unfortunately, I purchased one off eBay and asked the seller " before " I paid for it if the 1 he was selling would work with 94 J30.

He said yes but, , I got the Keyless Entry Remote Fob for an " I30" not "J30" cost me $60

Don't want to send it back because I may not get " anything " LOL.

If any one can help with the security system I'd really appreciate it. It's gotta work because it did go off..... ONCE

To turn off the alarm you have to put the key in the drivers lock and unlock.

Try programming it. May work.

How do you know its for an I30?

Go by the FCC ID, and you want # A269ZJA073.

THX FOR THE RESPONSE THE FCC ID I was Sent for the FOB is A269ZUA078.

I CHECK IT WITH THE LINK FROM THE PREVIOUS THREAD. IT SHOWS A CHART WITH THE KEY FOB, WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AND THE FCC ID'S.

I JUST NEED TO BREAK DOWN AND RIGHT IT OFF OR, MAYBE TRY TO SELL THE 1 I30 TO AT LEAST OFFSET MY COST.

Thanks, Order the aftermarket remote and it came with the programming instructions.... AWESOME !
