security system not working

my security system has stopped working on my 1991 q45. should i change out the fusible link.

There are 6 sense switches + key lock switches, and 4 fuses besides the Theft Warning Control Unit.

Follow the 25 pages of diagnosis proceedure in FSM to determine failure point.

Obviously testing fuses is easiest first but why would a fuse blow without a destructive short?

In 18.5 years of Q ownership never had a blown fuse as they are all well overrated.
