security reset

i own a 2001 infiniti Qx4 suv, i just replaced the engine and it doesnt want to start, but ive notice that the security light blinks when the key is on the off position does it mean that the factory alarm is activiated if so what can i do to de-activiate it, i tried already to closed the doors and lock the doors and it still does the same the light stays blinking and when i move the key forward the security light stays on.
