MY battery has been dying over and over again . was told i have a aftermarket alarm draw. When the fuse is in and i get out of the car the security light blinks and wont go off. when i pull the fuse for the a anti theft alarm out my after market viper alarm can still lock and unlock the car door. was told that not suppose to do that. recently read a form that said if key in the door turned at 2:00 oclock turns the light off then its not the door pieces and could be the hood sensor,,, how would i test for that and or otherwise fix this annoying problem?

If it is the hood sensor, just unplug it. It would make the light go out. Try it :)

Hood sensor is on the driver side between the strut tower and fuse box. It will be the highest part in that area.

.56 is very negligible, but with a weak battery, it will drain it enough to cause issues

Its crazy because my car was fine with the aftermarket alarm and stereo for months . i moved back up north this year and during the winter i had starting troubles and had to replace the battery. and it was fine for a while but kept doing it.

also update i found that my hood sensor is the cause of the constant blinking light...is that the reason why my battery keeps dying? i have an aftermarket alarm so is there something cause it to act funny? or kill the battery

The blinking light will drain the battery in about 2-3 days.
