My security key fob is worn out and the key holders is broken. I see that Ebay has new fobs for sale. How easy is it to reprogram the new one to my car, or can it even be done.

Get a used one with the correct FCC number with who knows how much life left on eBay, or buy new from Joe.

I recently got a new one from Joe-the price has recently jumped significantly...best to add it on to a good size order and see what they may do for you price-wise.

Is it a straight forward process to recode or program the fob to my car?

Extremely simple, took less than 1 minute sitting in drivers seat....nothing to disassemble,no tools....just follow a sequence of locking door/popping trunk, inserting key in ignition, and pressing a button on new remote...I dont remember the exact sequence of above, but it is in service manual, and posted here somewhere.
