hey everyone i have had a 90' 300zx for about a year and a half i just now started having problems starting it.I turn the key all the lights turn on everything works but when i go to crank it nothing happens no click no turnover nothing. i thought it might have been a security issue. the security light would flash non-stop i finally read to hold the key in the unlock position for a few seconds and it should reset itself. the security light now:
1. when door is closed and lock - the security light stays on
2. when door is closed and unlocked - it stays off
3. when door is open (unlocked) - the security light flashes
( CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS IS THE CORRECT SECURITY SEQUENCE )

but even after reseting the security it still wont crank. has anyone had this issue? or any suggestions on what to do? t
the next thing im doing is taking it to the shop to get the starter and all of its components tested.

just to let you know im not much of a mechanic and i would greatly appreciate the help!

A quick way to tell if it is the anti theft is to disable it completely.

Update: i managed to disable the alarm system thanks to the video help, but the problems still occured and wouldnt crank so next thing i did was check all the starter components come to find out somehow a stick jammedoso up in the starter and pulled a wire loose and kept it from cranking. My luck. But now she is good to go
