Today while picking up my wife's new FX35 I saw a guy go to an undocumented menu on the screen.. he changed bluetooth's 'MY-CAR' to another name as she was already paired with my car of the same name.

There must have been at least half a dozen selections for other tweaks as well.

I was waiting for someone to ask

Hit the SETTINGS button, then turn the volume knob clockwise for 40 clicks. The hidden menu will pop up.

I poked around and though there's a lot of stuff didn't find anything useful.. except I did change my car's bluetooth name so it's different from my wife's car..

If you do find anything useful please post it here.

Alrighty...I tried that. Settings button & turning the knob...nothing...just me turning the volume knob like it was a titty!

Is there a speed...or for that matter is it even worth trying?

Hmmm it worked in both my wife's car and mine.. and I'm sure it was: tap Settings (then let go) then turn volume right 40 clicks (maybe a little rapidly, nothing too fast).

And of course make sure the car is not moving.. you know how some menus become unavailable.

I'l try it again tomorrow just to check. We both have the same car..

try this:1 - Start engine2 - Turn the audio system off3 - While pressing the "Settings" button, turn the volume dial 40 clicks or more (either direction)4 - When self diagnosis mode is started, a short tone is heard5 - Use the "Back" button to navigate to other settings

Note - there are 2 modes1 - Self Diagnosis - shows all components and faults2 - Confirmation/Adjustment - this is where you can "play"
