I got home from my math class this morining to find a jet black 2004 Maxima SE sitting in my driveway with new car temp plates. Talk about a good surprise. Its got the Driver Preferred package and another one I can't remember the name of. I tell you, there's nothing quite like seeing two dark Maximas sitting side by side in your own driveway. I already have a buyer for my POS ranger, too. Monday I found a mysterious note under my windsheld wiper that said, "Want to sell your pickup? Call so-and-so." and a number. I must have done something right for all this good luck, but I can't figure out what. By the way, we stayed away from the chromed wheels option ($1400!). Does anyone know what it would cost to get my wheels chromed?

Congrats on the car!

It may be cheaper to strip the rims and polish them instead of chroming them. Some "lookalike" chromies would probably be cheaper than redoing the factories as well.

Black's the best color for the 6th gen that I've seen so far IMO.

You know white owns all gen Max's...especially pearl! Although there are some very tasteful black Max's...Brad's 92 comes to mind, as well as Mike's 96 (from North Carolina). Speaking of Mike, we haven't heard from him lately...I'm going to e-mail him to see what's up, and let him know about the 9/11 run at BB.

I say black or white is best for 95-04 and pearl white for 90-94s. My house has three Nissans now. Dad's white 95 GXE(dormant for almost 2 years and what Ill be driving this summer), Mom's POS black 95 GXE(still runnin strong somehow), and my Mom's 04 Murano. My dad's driving a 99 Windstar right now though, but that's gonna be replaced next year with a G 35. My family gots Nissan love.

Took the pics, but I'll have to wait 'till I'm at the University to post them, my connection speed sucks. Damn, those cars look good next to each other. My whole extended family was at my grandparents house last night for fireworks and a barbecue. Of the six cars in the driveway, five were Nissans. Now if only we could get my uncle to drop his Expedition for an Armada, It would be perfect. He's the only one in the whole family with not even one Nissan. But we don't talk about that.

I hear ya. One of my uncles finally woke up from domestic land. He's into Lexus now so he just got a $52K 04 Lexus SUV. He's so impressed with the quality of of it that he's gonna get another Lexus(car) after he sells his Caddy DTS. Its funny though cuz my mom told me that he always made fun of her for going from a late 80s Cutlass to a 1990 Max. Its a revolution I tell you. Most of my family are driving imports now. We got the Honda division, Toyota, and Nissan/Infiniti(quite a few and were probably influenced by my mom).

Nice pics. The car looks great for being stock, its a maxima thing. The only thing I don't like on the new maximas is the stock grille. The car looks awsome, I love the smell of new cars. Nick

Thanks. If I have my way (and if I can somehow start making more money) neither will be stock for long.

Saw a white one yesterday. Beautiful from the side and the back, but the front end has not yet grown on me.

I think it would look better with a chrome or aluminum polished grille. Nick

I haven't been able to find any, nice or otherwise. I don't think I'd change it even if I did find one though, I like it the way it is.

Scratch that. Just found this one. I think I like the stock grille better though. http://www.courtesyparts.com/m....htmlOh, and does anyone know where I can find a spoiler from a third gen SE? I want to put one on my GXE, but no one seems to have them, not even junk yards.

Thanks. I wish the older one was cleaner. I washed it the day before I took that picture, but it gets parked on the street and got watered with the lawn. Anyone know of a good 3rd gen Maxima car cover? That would save my paint and keep it clean.

Yes, that grill belongs on an escalade. But then again, I'm not a fan of billet grills at all.

I think Stillen has a grille. I saw it in a magazine today.
