I'm trying to figure what this second DVD drive is for? I have a DVD/Bluetooth drive in the glovebox that is for Navigation. Car has the Bose 14 speaker system.

The drive in glove compartment is only for GPS DVD. The drive in center console is for playing regular DVDs, audio DVDs and CDs. Don't you have a demo DVD in the center console drive?

You can download the owners manual in a post that is stickied to find the answer to this and many other common posts about the features of the car.

See its time like this I wonder...how in the world do you buy a car w/o investigating or asking 101 questions about all the features. I dont get it.

It is posts like that, that makes it simpler to state that the car was already owned. The example is for a car i am considering.

you have a few people on here who can't wait to post snotty retorts to people who ask questions, and quite a few who will do all they can to help. I don't think he is one of the former usually, but this was his day. Feel free to ask away.

The DVD player in the center console is for regular DVDs...if you don't have a fold-down rear display, I think you can play DVDs on the front Navigation screen, but I would assume you would need to be stopped.

Some can correct me if I am wrong...I have the rear fold-down screen so I am not 100% sure about playing DVDs on the front Nav screen.

The information here is great good job guys. :dtumbs

The M is one of those cars that reading the book will only hurt you, as you will not be able to unlock the full potential of the car.

If you are looking to purchase one there is some great information here for the prospective buyer. Many members strongly agree that looking into purchasing an Infiniti Elite Extended Warranty. Always get as much service history as you have access to. Infiniti dealers can usually look up records from work that has been performed at the dealer.

Good Luck with the search.

And that could be understood how exactly for your original post considering you said you "have navigation in the glovebox". You are now "considering" a car. I'm just trying to understand why the question wasn't posed to the seller instead of here, unless you've only seen the car online.

There are tens of posts where people have bought cars and not known some of the basic features. I don't feel it was "snotty" in the least. IIt was just a remark that wasn't even necessarily directed him/her but about simple questions that could have been answered (by searching or calling a dealer for example) in less time it took for him to create account on this forum & make a post.
