Are you serious??? That's bad news man.

I also have an SL, and I was really happy about the woven cloth because I think the suede will wear out in like 4-5 years, but you HAVE the woven cloth... what's up with that? Is there anything you're doing that might be causing the problem? Sharp buttons or rivets on your jeans? I don't know. This is really weird.

lol I can't figure it out, no jeans or pants with crazy buttons on them. My dealership is looking into it.

So is it one flaw in the fabric that is now fraying and spreading, or is an entire area wearing out? Do you have a pic?

Our driver's seat is fraying slightly on the bottom side panel by the console. I'll wait till it gets worse before complaining to the dealer. We got ours in Jan. 08, and have 15k miles now.

Several friends with 350zs had the same fraying, and the upholstery was replaced by the dealer under warranty. The material is very similar to that in our Versa.

I've got an SL with a few (...) miles on it and no problems with the seats. Of course, I'm still only getting in and out twice a day, and that's probably where the most wear occurs.

I have the suede-like interior and about 18K miles on it since October 2008 and have had no issues. Bummer for you, hopefully the dealer will fix it.

Imagine if you were a Lincoln MKZ owner with light-coloured leather upholstery already stained by your clothing dye...

Don't forget about the side curtain air bags if you get seat covers. You need the seat covers made for them. Costco has the sheep skins made for the SRS bags, they cost around $30-$35 each. We bought them, and they are so nice! Provided more comfort on the seats also.
