My 92 240 driver seat has seen better days. Duct tape and a seat cover is my current solution.

I would like to get a racing seat with a mount kit, so I can just bolt it in. I am a little over 6 foot, and I have heard that head room becomes an issue with most racing seats. SCC used the JIC seats and mounting hardware. They are fairly reasonable in price, but still expensive.

any suggestions?

I will try the General section as well. Usually just don't get much response from that section.

I am 6'4" with most of my height in my upper body. Hybrid has some Sparco Speeds in his car and I fit very well. I do think I would run into problems with a helmet though. His are bottom mounted seats, so side mounted ones should give you a little more room.

Function before form. Make sure you sit in the seat before you buy it, whatever you end up getting. I am getting the Sparco Corsa's or maybe the Fighters (sit test will determine which one). I would get Brides, but unfortunatly it would require shaving off some of my hip bone. I love them, but not that much. My stockers are blown out, so this mod will come sooner than anticipated.

I have sat in a few "inexpensive seats" and a few nice seats, and so far it seems to be you get what you pay for in a seat. Try to pick up some second hand good seats before going cheap. Go to http://www.aerodyne.net and look at the GTR seats or GC8 seats. SCC mag was full of it when they said the GTR seats were rare. I have seen them for $350 per seat before and a few different times.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...31503 here are some nice seats. I know these fit me very well. Too bad the feedback is 0.
