hey guys, i was riding in my buddy's lexus is300 the other day and he has some tight *** seats. They are black leather with black suede centers. anyways. i was wondering if anyone has put seats in their car that arent nissan (or racing seats).and how smooth did it go? how stable is your mounting?and does anyone know where i can get is300 deats for not too much dough? or any other nice seats?

A local guy here tried putting just about every type of aftermarket seats in his s13...but they raised it up too much...he (and I) are over 6'2'' and barely fit into stock seats...he even tried mounting them direclty on the floor, and still too tall! It all depends on how tall you are i guess

some company makes low-pro mounts...either that or make custom ones out of the stock sliders...

i saw the tallest white guy ever (or at least that i have seen) a couple of days ago. im about 6'0" and the top of my head didnt even meet his shoulders! he must have been at least 7'4" or more

Damn, I'm 5'7'' and every time I sit in my S14 (stock seats) I feel like I'm swimming in them.. Anyways, back to the subject, I'm sure you can weld together a custom bracket for the IS seats. I hear those seats are heated too.. I personally would rather get a MOMO bucket seat.

ya i would prefer momo too, but if the price is right. . . ya the is seats are heated and have a sensor to tell if someone is sitting in them and how much they weigh- for the airbag. not really useful for an s13 but they are power seats

Im not sure about the is300 seats but I recently rode in a 2002 Volvo s60 T5 and the seats in that car were the nicests stock seats of any car ive ever sat in.

sweetya i think im gonna go with momo or recaro or sparco. i think sparco is the only one to make seats for people over 200lbs tho, (Evo 2). anyone else know about seats for bigger drivers? (im 215lbs, but iwould like to drive some of my larger friends around without worrying about their safety.

yeah i have my seats all the way to the back and i recline them a bit to fit in there. im gonna get some momo seats in what ever car i decide to use as my project (civic or new 240...)
