I have seen these seats in the group buy of the classifieds a couple times now and was wondering what is the quality of these bad boys?? Is it like the Bride's on ebay that say they are the same as Bride-Japan but they are made in canada and wherever else?

everything about that screams no... i mean they give you an option to basically use a thin fiberglass seat. Then a fiberglass seat with a carbon fiber overlay, then a "true" carbon fiber seat. They have not been tested in any way that i can see. Save your $ and do it the right way. That way if you wreck and the seats fail you can have some merit in a lawsuit.

Yea, thats a good way to put it. It was either these or some actuall Bride's. My buddy has a pair of Bride Low Max's in his s2k. You can see them in my build thread but they are pretty comfy actually...but im a smaller guy.lol

Eh, there's nothing wrong with one piece seats. Reclinable is where it can get sketchy. I, too have a Bride Low Max and I LOVE it.

By the way, for a one piece seat, you really can't f*** up fiberglass.

tell that to half the people that have put on thin body kits. Unless it has been tested and proven in real wreck scenarios i wouldn't risk my life one it, this isn't a cheap ebay turbo kit. Its a safety device and would i risk using such a critical component by going the cheap route.

For instance what if the mounting points on the seat are weak and get riped out in a collision, your going to be launched around the cockpit of your car with the only thing holding you down is a seatbelt (hopefully a 4 or 5 point harness if your going this route.) You would be screwed by an insurance company because you didn't use a dot approved seat.

I can not honestly stress how badly why people shouldn't go the cheap route when it comes to safety components.

have u guys drivin in a car with a racing seat. if so, you should know that answer to that...you have a better feel for the car and you dont bounce around when going around corners or in my case, sliding around corners. stock seats arent really ideall for holding you snug. has anyone used the seibon seats. they are a good brand so I would assume the seats would be of equall quallity but I would rather get some info before considering them. thanks for the helpfull info tho guys
