Seating options for the B13

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hey all,

Does anyone know if Skyline or Silvia seats will bolt into the B13 SE-R's? I've sat in some R32 GT-R seats a couple times and liked them and figured that tossing some into my car might be pretty cool, since it keeps with the Nissan theme. Any ideas?

Sport Compact Car put some in an S13, but I'm not so sure about a B chassis...

It should fit, it may just require some interesting bracketing setups.

I've seen some s13 seats in a nx2000.

My friend had some r32 seats in his 240 and it was a kinda tight fit along the sides. You may have some issues trying to adjust the seats. Especially if you are passenger.

Hmm. What about other seats like Recaro's or Sparcos or something like that? Something that's lighter than the stock seats but are still comfortable and adjustable are what I'm looking for. Also, is there anyone that makes custom brackets or anything for the Sentra? I can't find any online vendors that have seats AND brackets.

S13 seats are terrible. However, if they fit on stock brackets, that opens a lot of possibilities.

As far as your seating goes, I honestly don't know, I haven't touched my seats, as much as I hate mine (awesome support, terrible look - eventually I'll get them reupholstered), because I simply have other priorities on my limited budget right now.

However, speaking of that. I was considering another option myself.

New Spec Vs have awesome seats (not the ugly crap from earlier B15 SE-R years), I'm still considering buying some at some point (though I prefer cloth, they may have a good simple cloth one too, I've only seen the leather ones). You can find a set on Ebay or something, they're probably crazy expensive new from the dealer.

Very supportive seat, not sure how light they are though. Personally, I'll sacrifice a few pounds for a more comfortable driving position. Even in a race car (which my B15 is certainly not, but regardless), if you're hideously uncomfortable, you're not going to be at your best.

After some digging I found that Options Auto Salon sells a bracket made by Sparco specifically for the B13! Of course there's a catch: it's only for the driver's side! Anyone know if this can be adapted for the passenger??

If your passenger seat has the same adjustability as the driver's (manual, obviously, I'm just assuming that it's movements are the same in direction), then I don't see why it'd be side-specific.
