well just an FYI i have been enjoying the car....

put a brand new EZ top on it...will be painting it this week....

got some rota wheels for it, need lugz

but i realized the seatbelts are worthless..yank, step on brake and yank, 10 yanks real fast....nothing, DOES NOT LOCK!

anyone else have this issue?

i guess i should move to the pillar removal step and redo the entire door.

mine always seemed like they didn't work either but they worked great in my accident with my first vert. might take a little more inertia to lock em up than you're giving them. try slammin the brakes...my other verts belts didnt seem to lock up either but the other day someone pulled out in front of me and locked the brakes and they worked fine.

Mine have always been quick to tension up. And then when they do, it takes a lot to get them to loosen

Takes quite a bit to lock them up usually. Think its over 1G of force if I remember correctly.

n tech told me same thing when I did not think mine were working, 1 G of force for them to lock up, some kind of pin slides fwd to lock under that force.

you use the same belt in pillar removal if im not mistaken....just relocated. which im not sure if its mentioned in the instructions, but the inertia mechanism has to be ina specific position in order to work properly...so if you relocate make sure its positioned right.
