It just started this last weekend. I have fastened all the seatbelts in car and the seatbelt light still flashes. I found in the owners manual the following blurb:

If the light blinks or illuminates even if
the driver's and front passenger's seat
belts are fastened, it may indicate that
the pre-crash seat belt system (if so
equipped) has a malfunction.

How can I tell if my 2006 M36x is so equipped? The car is pretty loaded with adaptive cruise, nav, rear seat DVD, power reclining rear seats etc,

Is there a way to reset the system without having to take the car back to Infiniti? Can a Nissan dealer do this? The nearest Infiniti dealer is 120 miles away.

Thanks!
Steve

is it cold? its a common issue that sensors in the seats go a little haywire, when exposed to really-really cold temps. the same is happening to the Rogues on this site/boards.

Yeah, but not too cold. It was 20 below last week, and now it warmed up to 10 above. But I won't worry about it as it drives ok. I was just hoping I could reset something and make the stupid blinking go away. :-)

Thanks!

Steve
