On a 2010 G37 convertible the passenger seatbelt light is on even though no one is in the seat? Is the sensor in the seat bottom or seatbelt buckle? If you plug the belt in without anyone in the seat, the light goes out.

The sensor is in the seat. If you put anything in the seat with other than minimal weight without the belt fastened the light will come on.
