Ok my driver side seatbelt motor moves like a slug, and if its impeded at all (I mean if I don't help it all the way back) it'll just stop and not go all the way back. I know most major car companies have lifetime warranties on the seatbelts, but is the motor covered? I just want to figure out if I should take the car into the dealership or if I should try to grab a motor from the junkyard...in which case I need to know how to get it off, I know where the motor is located, but do I need to take the whole seat belt assembly above the door with me too?

It is covered for life. I have the factory warrerenty manuel from my 93 and it says any defects on any parts of the seatbelt.

I tried to get mine replaced a little while ago and they mentioned something about if the problem keeps the seatbelt from doing what it's supposed to do. I dunno if a slow motor will be covered under warranty.

Hmmms well I guess I'll call the local Nissan dealer and find out =) If not, anyone know how to remove the motor (I mean if I have to take the belts and the moving piece with it)

Always check with the dealer involving the seatbelts. They do have a lifetime warranty. I have had mine serviced free for the dead motor too.

As far as I know they have nothing to gain to reject you for it because the dealer will be paid by Nissan for the service, so if they turn you down, it's like telling a paying customer to get lost. There's no way any sane business would do that.
