Seatbelt loose

on my 89 240sx fastback, my passenger side automatic seat belt does not tighten. Its loose and it doesnt suck bak in to make tight. So when i stop fast or go fast, only my seat belt locks and tighens but no the passenger side. is their a way to fix this?

Seatbelts have a lifetime warranty from Nissan. Take it to the dealer and explain the problem, if it needs to be fixed they have to fix it for free.

Can i take it to any nissan dealer? kuz my car was bought used and has a sr20det. So would that be a problem?

Maybe, not sure. Try and see, yes, any Nissan dealer with a service department will do.

I use to sell nissan car's in southern california and was frequently in the service department to kill dead time. I'm almost 100% sure they have to honor the life time warranty, even with modifications done to your engine. Seatbelts have nothing to do with your engine, however if you bought the car used and u had a warranty on the engine you'd be SOL (s*** out of luck.) I use to work at Wondries Nissan, excellent service department though very busy! Good luck~
