perhaps the intrenal parts of the seatbelt controller maybe some realays got stuck and burned up. Most of the wires go around the back of the car to the two seat belt motors and some go to the front. Buy some s14 seat belts and kick that shiz to the curb.

Nissan has a lifetime warranty on seatbelts. Go to the dealer and get them to fix it. My driver's automatic shoulder belt acted up and I was told about this policy. Went to the dealer and sure enough, they fixed it for free.

after about 9 hours at the dealership they tell me the seatbelt comeputer is covered not the wires because they cant prove it was the computer unless they hook up the new harness to the old computer...the cost $677.77!! basically i told them to screw themselves and that i will put the harness in myself and bring it back and make them change the computer for free....now does anyone know exactly where this seatbelt wiring harness goes to from the computer...i see it goes under the carpet to the right of the drivers seat but not sure after that?

Hey you should REALLY consider just fitting some S14 stationary seatbelts in there while you can. You can most likely pick up a set for VERY cheap (cheaper than a harness for teh stock auto belts) and enjoy not having to deal with those stupid auto belts...

OMG I thought I was the only one. Basically that harness runs from the ECU plug ( the little one 15 wires I think) all the way around to the back of the car ending on the passenger door close sensor. It also includes your fuse box.

I had to replace mine also. When I was trying to trouble shoot a short I discovered that the wires had been melted together, and you could follow it throughout the harness. I had to go the salvage yard, and pull it from another car.

Have fun, because you have to remove your dash, and all the interior panels.

Good luck, it can be done.

Oh yeah what cause mine was the harness under the seat rubbed itself through, and was shorting out.

i should put in stationary belts which i prolly will but i just realized....the dealer said "put in another harness if u dont wanna pay and then if it fries we will do it for free...." so since i know its the seatbelt computer i will just let it burn the harness and the carpet so i get new carpets too... GOD IM A GENIOUS!!!
