I have a 2005 FX35 in which the seat warmers seem to work on a sporadic basis only. You can sometimes feel them heat up only to have them immediately cool down within a couple of minutes. They really seem to have a mind of their own (this happens to both sides). Is this normal?

I think they are controlled by the thermostat. The switch gives you a High and Low range in relation to the cabin temperature. Im not 100% but im sure im close. Your owners manual should shed some light on this.

I believe you are right. The effect seems to be more noticeable when you set the switch to HIGH. I believe the setting (HIGH or LOW) has more to do with how quickly it heats up, and less with how hot it gets. It basically cycles on and off to try keep the

I had the same problem on my fx took it to the dealer and replaced both elements on warrantee
