Hey everyone. We're having an issue with the passenger seat back switch in my fiancee's 04 G35 sedan. The switch works to move the seat back forward, but it won't work to recline it. She's thinking that our bulldog has slobbered on it a little too much and causing a malfunction. I'm just not sure as I don't know much about electronics and all, but I would think if it wasn't working in one direction that it wouldn't in the other too. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!

Probably need a new switch...doubt it's from the dog ;)

An Infiniti dealer would be the best bet.

I had a similar issue with my Maxima and if I smacked the switch a couple times with my hand it would work briefly. May try that until you can swap the switch or troubleshoot to determine if it's a motor or mechanism issue or not.

Hey everyone. We're having the exact opposite issue with the passenger seat back switch in my 03 G35 sedan. The switch works to move the seat back forward, but it will only work to recline and will not raise to upright position. I purchased a new switch and plugged it in to test prior to actually installing it. The darn thing relined down until it is pressing into the rear seat before I could unplug and will not raise back up. Is there a manual way to raise it? Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!
