So I got these seats about 2 years ago I think, been using the car as a daily driver, never taken to the track or anything yet(not on these seats at least). Car was shipped from Hawaii and when it got here the seats had some god aful smell on them so I got these off ebay for $300 shipped.

The cloth is crap apparently, but I figure there cheap so wth. The seat was kind of crooked in there so I figure the rail is screwed up or something. I got a set of JIC low profile combo rail/brackets to replace it with, but when I pull out the seat this is what I find.as noted, cloth isn't exactly top quality.

is this thing even safe to use?

I was planning to put JICs in there at some point, however money's tight right now. Been looking at some replacement options, but I still have that JIC slider/bracket combo, and if I can get a seat with a bottom mount pattern to match it thats decent I'd prob go for that.

the bracket holes measured 13" long by 12" wide from approx center, except there not holes there notches. they run 1/2"x1" side to side.

I've been trying to find info about other reputable seats to see if one of them matched that pattern. not much luck so far. anyone have or know where to get that info? It'd be a big help.

BTW, in the process of looking google took me to the honda tech forum and this was the first thing I saw:

"Ok I know stuff like this is possible, I watched an episode of pimp my ride where dude from WCC took a racing seat and cut the upper half and welded it to the frame of the stock seat so it would sit lower and still retain its relining feature... However im not looking to do that, my project is a bit different. "

just thought everyone might would enjoy that.
