If I could find S15/GT-R I'd buy it.

stock seatbelts will work with a bucket seat if you are not serious enough to get a harness. harness is not safe you say? then get a rollbar. people on this board are afraid to make compromises or somthing. why does everyone want to get "average" stuff. shoot for the stars, dont cheese out on saftey gear. i dont get it.

if you ever sit in a bucket seat, then sit in a regular seat, you will see how totally useless the bolsters are.

if you are big and tall and whatever, get a low seat rail and a big seat. evo 2 or similar. a proper bucket seat will sit far lower than a reclinable seat, so no headroom problems.

bucket seats are far more ergonomical and supportive than oem seats. bucket seats can recline back further than you would ever want for any kind of driving, and its easy to change the recline.

why do you need a pair of 500$ seats. just get a good one for drivers side, and leave the passenger. or get somthing cheap like a speed or clubman or somthing like that.

i think i got everything?

I think we're on the same page...except I said nothing about a pair. I just need a friggin' drivers seat because mine ****in' sucks.I think I'm going to try the setup in my first post.

forza is a bottom mount seat, bride FG rail is a side mount rail. not compatible. bottom mount seats are always going to sit relativley high compared to a side mount seat, so.. yeah.

Don't some of the pricier full bucket seats come with adjustable backs and manual-adjustable lumbar?

The only reason I would think twice about a roll cage is that would inhibit use of the back seat, and on rare occasion I do actually put some unlucky person back there.

S14 seats are ONLY for comfort, they dont hold worth anything. They come stock in our S13's here in Europe so its nothing that big to us.

Right now I'm riding in a R32 GT-R seat and its pretty nice, holds pretty well, but I had to fabricate my own rails (which isnt hard if you can weld and cut).

Seriously, if you can find one, go get yourself a stock 86 seat. They shouldnt be expensive at all, and they hold better than any other seat you can find for that price (heck, they grip better than my R32 seat). Of course, you'll have to fab your own rails, and like I said, its not hard at all.

its connected to all the stock points, the rear is connected to where the rear seatbelt retractor is. but as you can see i dont use it for daily driving, i still use my stock belt.

lol i can testify for stock 86 seats being damn good for stock. obviously they suck next to a real seat but they have a lot of stuff you can play with, and the drivers side even has a penumatic lumbar thingy.

I don't think I've ever seen an 86 that wasn't beat to hell so I doubt I can find a seat without it being worn pretty good and smell like piss. Good to know though.Btw, if I could cut and weld I wouldn't have made this thread. All I need is square aluminum tubing yet I don't have neither the means nor skill to do it.

Well, I got my a MOMO Cup seat, Bride FG rail, and a hub adapter to mount my wheel on the way. I talked to Jeff at Rhad Performance (where I got the seat) and according to him the mounting holes for the seat and rail are perferct. I'll be the judge in about a week.
