How do you track the views???

I would check the switch before taking the seat out. See if you can access the switch and check it for conduction in both directions.

Also, is the car still under warranty? If so, just take it in. They can fix it!!!

Edit: Disregard my view question. I just answered it.

yea, no trading this one in, i just bought it, and its waaay upside down..im stuck for th emoment, i love the car, but because its so new to me, and actaually still new in general, i demand all things be functional..i would be cool with broken seat switches if it were an older car.heres the list of bogus **** thats happened to this car since i bought it the first of January 08:first cd i put in the player broke it

some douche backed into it costing me my 500 dollar deductable.

the seat recline switch does not work

on the way home from phoenix the under engine plasit cover came loos and blew off and dragged itself to shreads

someone hit my car while parked, and scuffed the rear bumper and broke the license plate frame

I hear the motor knocking

when i think about it it makes me angry and crazy..this i the nicest car i ever owned, and my honda buddies are laughing at me, i cant even tell them how bad this experience has been.,.its too embarrasing.

I know buddy, I've been following your posts. Sounds like the Mitsubishi dealership screwed you. Did you do carfax? That car can not have 65k miles on it

well there's your first mistake...you have friends that have honda's...shame shame....lol

Sorry to hear about the bad run of luck....i know i've had mine so far this year too.....look on the bright side....engine cover, recline switch...minor things.

I had an accident that ended up costing about 26k to the insurance company and a 1k deduct to hit my wallet on a car that was only 4 months old.

no i didnt carfax it yet...i was asking around on another board im on to see if anyone had a memebrship..otherwise its like 24 bux to check.Im not the type to give up, but im starting to get worried....one thing at a time..first on the list is to get the body damges fixed, i just need to take it in, they already have the estimate done.I will keep monitoring the motors knocking sounds...its wierd, i pulled up to my office this morning, and heard the sounds, turned the car off, and opened the bay doors to pull in, when i turned the car back on, the noises were gone... according to everything my mechanic buddy knows rod knock will knock all the time....right? maybe a stuck lifter? **** who knows...i guess the dealer does..lol i hate that.

i just came over myself from the honda world..always owned hondas. but yea, its a bit more than the cover and switch...a hole in the front bumper, to the tune of 780 dollars, five hundred of which i have to come up with. and the possible rod knock as well...just not the stuff i should be dealing with yet in such a recent purchase...aaaaarrrrrrr!!!

Why are you paying for the body damage if someone else hit you?

Do you have uninsured motorist property damage? If so, I'd go talk to your insurance company.

Also, find a body shop that will "assist" you with the deductible. I've been offered that in the past and I've also gone to body shops and told them I don't want to pay extra, but I want you to fix that other dent (unrelated).

That's how I got my I30 painted. $800 for a complete new color with factory finish, because some dope made an illegal lane change. Insurance paid $3200, I paid $800, ended up with a new paint job and no more dents.

i have a 500 dollar deductable, and its still not clear if he has insurance. my insurance company is going after them for cost, plus my deductable.i may be reimbursed, but who knows. i do have uninsured motorists coverage,,,

I have always made it a point to not buy one marque from another dealer's lot. My belief has been that, usually, someone who is satisfied with their current brand of car will trade in to the same dealer, so it stood to reason for me that a car traded to another brand's lot might just be a potential lemon... even if the car was picked up from a dealer auction, whomever first got the car in trade didn't want to sell it for a reason.

Just my .02

It doesn't mean that this would be the case with every used car, but it is just a rule I have lived by when shopping for a used car.

Sorry to hear that you are less than pleased with yours!
