Seat rail questions

I picked up a set of 350z seats for my s13 before anyone tells me I know I can fab my own mounts and weld them to the rails of the 350z seats...but lets just say I know someone selling a pair of 240 seat rails for cheap would that work if I just welded those rails to the 350z seats? Something like this

Maybe you are better to buy used oem seat rails and do this after.

I thought about that too if I can find oem seats for cheap, but thats easier said then done guys selling oem seats around here still want $100 for busted a** ripped up seats I figured at that price might as well just buy new brackets
